Frequently asked questions
How do I best control my Philips HomeRun 9000 series robot vacuum cleaner?
To get the most out of your HomeRun 9000 series, you can use the Philips HomeRun robot app that has been designed to be intuitive and easy to use.
It features step-by-step guidance and helpful videos to ensure you get the very best out of your robot.
The app communicates with your robot to control, report and update on its cleaning performance wherever you are, showing in real time where the robot has cleaned.
Specify how you would like to clean each room, let the robot know where it can't go or schedule a cleaning session so you can come home to a spotless floor.
Do I have to use the Philips HomeRun App to control my robot?
Without the app, you can use the two buttons on the robot to operate it.
When operating the robot manually, it will vacuum and mop.
However, if the water tank is empty, the robot won't mop. For an optimal experience, we recommend using the app.
Will the robot mop my rugs?
Thanks to its advanced mop lift system, the robot automatically senses when it drives on to a rug, lifting the mop automatically and avoiding wetting your carpet.
As soon as the robot drives off the rug, it’ll continue mopping.
If ever you’d like to be extra sure, there’s always the possibility of creating a no-mop zone through the app.
When mopping with the HomeRun 9000 Series, do I need to refill the clean water tank for the robot halfway through the cleaning session?
With PowerAqua Technology, the HomeRun 9000 series Vac & Wash robot ensures you only mop with clean water - no need to manually refresh or refill it during cleaning.
It continuously removes dirty water as you mop, so you have a supreme clean with fresh water throughout your entire cleaning session.
The All-in-One station will make sure the robot gets refilled automatically.
Can I use the robot when I am not there?
Can the Philips HomeRun 9000 series be scheduled to clean at a specific time?
How does the HomeRun 9000 series vacuum and mop around obstacles like shoes and toys?
The HomeRun 9000 series is designed to navigate around common obstacles, identifying any obstacles greater than 2.5 cm.
With our advanced obstacle detection, you can set your robot vacuum to work and know it won’t get stopped in its tracks by small household objects.
