Frequently asked questions
What is the Philips OneUp Electric Mop?
The Philips OneUp is an electric mop that always cleans with clean water and sucks up dirty water. Say goodbye to your traditional mop that spreads dirty water and requires you to carry a bucket everywhere you go.
How does the Philips OneUp Electric Mop work?
The Philips OneUp technology constantly pumps clean water onto the floor and sucks up the dirty water. This prevents you from spreading dirt around your floor. The two separate water tanks ensure you only clean with clean water.
Is the Philips OneUp Electric Mop suitable for all types of floors?
It is suitable for delicate and non-absorbent floors, such as tiles, wooden floors, laminate, PVC, and vinyl.
How do I clean the Philips OneUp Electric Mop?
The mop is easy to clean. After use, you can empty the dirty water tank and put the pad in the washing machine for a thorough clean. Always check the user manual for specific maintenance instructions.
What is the difference between the Philips OneUp Electric Mop and a vacuum cleaner?
A vacuum cleaner is a dry cleaning device: it sucks up coarse dirt from the floor (such as dust, coffee beans, or rice). The Philips OneUp Electric Mop is an innovative new wet cleaning (mopping) solution. It cleans grease, stains, sticky dirt, fine dust, and small liquid messes. Always remember to vacuum before you clean the floor with your Philips OneUp.
What is the difference between the Philips OneUp Electric Mop and the Philips AquaTrio?
The Philips AquaTrio is an all-in-one floor cleaner that can suck up both dry and wet dirt at the same time. The Philips OneUp Electric Mop is a revolutionary new mop – it cleans grease, stains, sticky dirt, fine dust, and small liquid messes, leaving a shining, streak-free floor. Compared to the Philips AquaTrio, the Philips OneUp Electric Mop is super flexible and much lighter.
Do I need a bucket to use the Philips OneUp Electric Mop?
No, you do not need a bucket! The Philips OneUp Mop sucks up the dirt, so you no longer need to use a bucket. The dirty water is stored in a separate tank and gets emptied once full.
Is the Philips OneUp Electric Mop powerful enough for stubborn dirt?
Yes, the Philips OneUp Electric Mop is designed to tackle both light and stubborn stains. The suction power ensures that even spilled liquids are quickly and effectively removed.
Why do I see stripes after mopping?
Why does my floor show stripes after using OneUp?
Striping can occur because OneUp cleans more thoroughly than many traditional mops. It lifts and removes built‑up dirt, grease, and residue that may have been left behind by previous cleaning products. When that hidden dirt is removed for the first time, it can temporarily make cleaning patterns more visible.
How can I prevent or reduce striping?
A simple way to improve results is to mop the floor from multiple directions. Instead of cleaning in just straight lines, go over the floor again in a different direction (for example, left‑to‑right and then front‑to‑back). This helps ensure all areas of the floor are evenly cleaned.
Detergent use
For the first few uses, if striping occurs, we recommend using little to no detergent. Because OneUp is very effective at removing residue, too much detergent can leave product buildup on the floor, which may contribute to striping. Once your floor is fully clean and free of old detergent residue, you can resume using our recommended detergent with regular dosing.
